This grammar blog was inspired by a desire to help my students become better writers. My goal is to post mini-lessons on the most common errors students make in their writing.
Grammar is no longer explicitly taught as a part of high school curriculum here in the U.S. Oftentimes my international students will have had more exposure to the rules of English grammar than those who grew up and attended school in the U.S.
I do think grammar is important because it is great to write with confidence. Nothing is more empowering than knowing the rules; basically, what I'm saying is that it's great to be RIGHT!
